MixxedFit has been referred to as a “people-inspired fitness program” that weaves together various forms of movement and bootcamp training techniques. This innovative dance-fitness class incorporates different elements, all of which are designed to tone, strengthen, and increase endurance. The founders of MixxedFit note that the movements performed in class are somewhat “explosive”, meaning they are big, exaggerated, and designed to get the body moving and the heart pumping. When you attend a MixxedFit class at either of our Fitness Nation locations, you can expect to dance your heart out to recognizable songs that are heard on the radio day after day. People often associate MixxedFit classes with being at a nightclub, without all the other distractions!
Movements in MixxedFit classes are challenging, inspired and perfectly complement the boot camp-inspired exercises that are mixed. This highly unique combination of dance and boot camp exercises is what makes MixxedFit so effective, and keeps gym-goers coming back for more. For those who are tired with the same ol’ group exercise classes and are looking for something a little off the beaten path, MixxedFit may just be what the doctor ordered.

As you can imagine, there are many wonderful benefits to MixxedFit. Not only will these classes leave you feeling energized and full of life, but you will be surprised at how much of a workout it is. By combining fun-loving dance moves with interval training and cardio workouts found in many boot camp classes, individuals will enjoy an inspirational full body workout.
What to Expect, Wear, and Bring
Traditional MixxedFit classes last 60 minutes and help individuals achieve their fitness goals much quicker than other classes, or just dancing on it own. This is because MixxedFit classes have an element of toning that many other fitness dance classes do not. When you take a MixxedFit class at either our Arlington or Bedford luxury gym, you can expect to use your whole body (no equipment or dumbbells) in order to achieve optimal results.
Before you attend a MixxedFit class at Fitness Nation, it may help to keep the following in mind:
- Make sure you wear comfortable workout clothes, such as leggings, workout pants, or shorts
- Wear appropriate footwear
- Do NOT wear sandals, flip flops, ballet shoes, hiking boots, or running shoes
- Bring Water
- Do NOT wear jeans or other restrictive clothing
- Bring a towel (optional)
