Goal: To achieve internal balance and peace, while also getting a good cardio and full body workout.

Best Class: Yoga or Pilates.

If you are looking for a group class that will tone your body while also giving you the opportunity to reflect inwardly, you may want to try yoga or Pilates. Both of these group classes offer a great workout that hits all parts of the body – from the abs to the legs, arms, back, and chest. Furthermore, both of these classes will provide results, as long as you adopt a routine and stick with it.

Goal: To participate in an intense workout that will keep you from staring at the clock.

Best Class: zumba, kickboxing, spinning, boot camp, or Body Pump.

If you are the kind of person that hates the treadmill but still wants to get in an intense cardio workout, we recommend you consider a fast-paced class that has an inspiring soundtrack designed to keep you focused. Dance classes – such as Zumba – do just that. With the help of an upbeat instructor, you will be able to burn up to 400 calories in an hour, all while staying focused and engaged from start to finish.

Goal: I want to focus on my ‘trouble’ spots.

Best Class: Body Sculpt and Pilates.

Let’s face it – this is the goal of many of us. If you are someone who wants to firm up your trouble spots (hello, love handles) as fast as possible, try our Body Sculpt or Pilates classes. Body Sculpt, in particular, will help you ‘sculpt’ your body and tone up those areas that make you cringe every time you look in the mirror. Pilates is also a great option if you are looking to tone up and get that lean body you’ve always wanted.

Goal: I want a class that will help me relax, but also has health-related benefits.

Best Class: Restorative yoga or kickboxing.

Both restorative yoga classes and kickboxing are designed to help you decompress and let go of whatever happened during the day or week. Whether you are someone who is easily irritated or high-strung, or are simply running on empty, yoga and kickboxing can be a great stress reliever.
